FILM: “Living Memorials — when art meets our culture of remembrance” (RTBF)

Belgium’s first public TV channel RTBF (Radio Télévision Belge Francophone) broadcasts the movie “”Living Memorials — quand l’art rencontre la mémoire” (date: 30 January 2022). The movie documents the international project LIVING MEMORIALS, in which Roman Kroke, in his role as the project’s artistic and pedagogic coordinator, has led interdisciplinary art-workshops in the middle of the primary Naliboki forest (Belarus) and at the historic site of the Wannsee Conference (Berlin/Germany).

Italian TV reports on Roman Kroke’s art-project in partnership with ISGREC (Historical Institute about Resistance and Contemporary History), Grosseto/Italy (2.-5. November 2021). Taking the history of the Berlin Wall as a starting point, the participants explored in their artworks “new walls”, physical and psychological ones – in the past, present and future.

Serbian Television interviews Roman Kroke on occasion of his exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina as part of the international festival « Danube Dialogues », Novi Sad (BR) – curated by the Institute for Art and Innovation Berlin (IFAI).

In this group exhibition, Roman Kroke presented his multi-media art (work in process) – drawings, installations, readymades – based on his Pacific Ocean crossing on board of the German research vessel SONNE from Vancouver to Singapore.

Europe’s major culture channel a r t e . t v shows the new documentary movie “The Walls of Warsaw 1943-44″ by André Bossuory.

Together with the two journalists Maria Zielinska (Poland) and Alexandra Jastrzebska (France) the Berlin artist Roman Kroke travels to Warsaw enquiring into two historical events: the Revolt in the Warsaw Ghetto (1943) and the Warsaw Uprising (1944). The movie was sponsored by the European Commission.
